After using a microfibre cloth when cleaning your eyeglasses or your camera's lenses, do not just leave the cloth soiled. If you leave the fabric soiled, you are actually giving the impurities a chance to contaminate other surfaces you wish to clean. So make it a habit to wash all microfibre cloths after you are done cleaning any glass or glass-like surface.
Cleaning a Microfibre Cloth - the DetailsAll of the oily finger marks and dust accumulated by a microfibre cloth after you have wipe it over a smudged and dirty glass or lens can only be removed by washing the fabric.
It is always better to hand-wash the microfibre cloths to maintain the consistency of their microscopic fibres. So we highly recommend that you do so. To get started, fill a basin with water and mix it with detergent. Soak the cloths for a while in the soapy water before washing them.
Once you are done washing all of the microfibre cloths, rinse all of them through running water. Make sure that all traces of soap are gone before hanging the cloths and drying them away.
Additional Tips in Cleaning a Microfiber ClothYou can also opt to machine wash your microfibre cloths if you do not have the energy to do hand washing. Just remember not to mix the microfibre cloths with other clothing items and fabrics so that they maintain their quality. Wash on a gentle cycle.
